Untuk menghubungkan / sinkronisasi PDA berbasis Windows Mobile dengan PC berbasis Microsoft Windows tentunya memerlukan satu software yang dinamakan Microsoft Active Sync. Sementara untuk pengguna Windows Vista, untuk melakukan sinkronisasi harus menggunakan software yang dinamakan Windows Mobile Device Center ( WMDC ).
Versi terakhir dari Microsoft Active Sync adalah versi 4.5. Microsoft Active Sync 4.5 bisa berjalan antara lain di :
